Software Built in Namibia by Tech49Originals

We do not only implement other people’s software. We build our own. Vanguard is our security operations platform, engineered in Windhoek and run by analysts here, and it is the first of several products we are developing for Namibian organisations.

Vanguard: a Security Operations Platform Built in Namibia

Managed SOC, SIEM and XDR, threat hunting and incident response. Vanguard gives Namibian organisations continuous visibility across their endpoints, servers, networks and security infrastructure, monitored around the clock by analysts in Windhoek on a platform engineered here rather than licensed in.

What Vanguard Does

Detection, Response and Assurance in One Platform

Twelve modules across three layers. Where something is still being rolled out we say so, rather than presenting a roadmap as though it had already shipped.

Detection

SIEM & XDR

Collects security telemetry from servers, endpoints, network devices and cloud workloads into one correlated detection engine.

Operational

Endpoint Detection & Response

Agent-based visibility into process execution, persistence, configuration drift and vulnerability state on every monitored host.

Operational

Network Detection

Signature-based intrusion detection combined with protocol metadata, giving visibility into traffic that never touches a monitored endpoint.

In deployment

Deception

Decoy systems placed inside your network that no legitimate process should ever touch, producing near-zero false positives.

Operational

Investigation and response

Threat Hunting

Analyst-led search for activity that did not trigger an alert, supported by fleet-wide query and remote forensic collection.

In deployment

Incident Response

A defined path from alert to containment to closure, with analysts who investigate before they escalate.

Operational

Threat Intelligence

Curated indicators of compromise matched against your telemetry in real time, with context that reflects threats seen in this region.

In deployment

Security Automation

Automates the repetitive analyst work, enrichment, correlation and case creation, while keeping humans in control of anything destructive.

In deployment

Posture and assurance

Vulnerability Management

Continuous assessment that prioritises exploitability and real exposure over raw severity scores.

Operational

File Integrity & Configuration

Detects unauthorised change to critical files, configuration and binaries, one of the highest-signal, lowest-noise detections available.

Operational

Security Reporting

Monthly reporting generated from case records, written for both the technical team and the people who approve the budget.

Operational

Platform Assurance

Continuous self-verification that answers the question most security platforms never ask: is this system still capable of detecting an attack right now?

Why It Matters

Why We Built Our Own Instead of Reselling Someone Else's

There are good security platforms in the world. Almost none of them are built for, priced for, or reachable from Namibia.

Built here, not licensed in

Vanguard is engineered in Windhoek. When something needs to change for a Namibian requirement, that change is made by the team who wrote the code, not requested from a vendor in another timezone.

Your data stays under local operation

Telemetry is monitored and retained under Namibian operation. You know which organisation holds it and which people can reach it.

Analysts you can actually reach

The security operations centre is staffed from Windhoek. Escalation goes to a named team you can call, not a ticket queue that reopens in the morning.

One of several, by design

Vanguard is the first product we have taken to market. The same engineering team is building further software for Namibian organisations, and this page is where it will appear.

More To Come

Vanguard Is the First, Not the Last

Software in development

The same engineering team that built Vanguard is working on further products for Namibian organisations. As each one is ready it will be listed here. If you have a problem in your sector that software should be solving and nobody has built it for this market, we would genuinely like to hear about it.

Questions

Vanguard: Questions We Are Asked

Straight answers about the platform, what is live, and how it fits what you already run.

Vanguard is a security operations platform built by Tech49Originals in Windhoek. It brings SIEM, XDR, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management, threat hunting and incident response together, monitored around the clock by analysts in Namibia. It is our own software, not a reseller arrangement.

Yes. The platform is engineered by our team in Windhoek and operated here. That matters for two practical reasons: changes needed for a Namibian requirement are made by the people who wrote the code, and your telemetry stays under local operation rather than being processed by a vendor you cannot reach.

Organisations that need real security monitoring but cannot justify building a security operations centre of their own. That includes banks and microlenders under Bank of Namibia and NAMFISA supervision, mines and energy operations, government and parastatals, healthcare, and any business holding data it cannot afford to lose.

Usually not. Vanguard collects telemetry from the servers, endpoints, network devices and cloud workloads you already run. We start by seeing what you have, then fill the gaps rather than insisting you rip anything out.

Most are operational now. A few, including network detection, threat hunting, threat intelligence and security automation, are in deployment and are marked as such on this page. We would rather tell you honestly what is live than sell you a roadmap as though it had already shipped.

Request a demo and we will show you the platform against a scenario that resembles your environment. If it is a fit, we scope the rollout in writing before anything is installed, including which systems are monitored and what the response path looks like.

Yes. Vanguard is the first product we have taken to market and the same engineering team is working on further software for Namibian organisations. New products will be listed on this page as they become available.
